JSA - JIBS Student Association. Anno 1982

JSA was founded in 1982 under the name Junekon – Jönköpings Ekonomerna, with the purpose of organizing the students. The purpose was get an influence on the education and to create a meaningful time outside the studies.

In 1994, the economic institution at Jönköping University became Jönköping International Business School and in order to include all students at JIBS, not only the economy students, Junekon became IHHJS – Internationella Handelshögskolan i Jönköpings Studerandeförening. IHHJS started to take shape and with all the new students at the “new” school, ensuring the quality of the education by bringing forward the opinions of the students, became even more important.

Today, the student association has a new name: JSA, short for JIBS Student Association, but is still working with the same goals, always with the students best at interest.

As time has passed by, JSA as an association has developed and become an active and influential student organization, very well incorporated in the different parts of the school. Course evaluations, internationalization, information as well as parties and events have all been important parts of the organization’s activities. At the same time, JSA has become a platform on which students at JIBS can create new networks and where they get the opportunity to develop their leadership skills as well as their ability in working as a team: all and all, a perfect career school.
